Lazy Girl's Holiday Hair
I love the holidays, but for someone who usually curls their hair on the regular, it's hard to find hair styles that make me seem more "formal". (And I hate spending time on my hair) This post is for my fellow lazy girls that need to look decent for holiday parties/any formal event.
Step 1: Start by doing a french braid from the top of your head. The only difference is that we will be doing a dutch braid, which is when you pull the hair under your braid instead of over.
Step 2: Braid all the way to the nape of your neck. (Or until you run out of hair!)
Step 3. Secure with an elastic. I chose pink to make sure you could see it on camera, (you have to use your webcam when its 2am and no one can take pictures for you!) the elastic will not be shown when we wrap our hair.
Step 4. pull it tightly!
Step 5. Pancaking. If you haven't heard this silly term before, it just means to pull the sides of your braid to make it appear thicker. Do this all the way down the braid.
Step 6: take one piece of hair from your ponytail and wrap it around your elastic
Step 6 still: wrap it!
Step 7: secure your wrap with a bobby pin, ideally under your ponytail to hide it.
Step 8: fluff up your hair to make it messier. I took my soft bristled brush and ran it up my braid after this. Here is the finished product!
